1. It is necessary for us to combine two formulas, because we need these formulas in order to include them in our can experiment. We would also need to combine two formulas, because we need to know all the possible measurements that will be included in the project
2. If i was to apply the same skills for my can i would need to find the surface area and volume formula for a cylinder. When i recieve my results I will then include the expressions into my project which will make it possible for me to find the answers to the formula.

1. It's true that we need the two formulas, but think about the mathematical process. What are you doing to the number of variables when you're solving the volume formula for h, and then substituting it in the SA formula?
